Early morning departure from Manali
Drive through Atal Tunnel into Lahaul Valley
Pass through Sissu, Gramphu, Chhatru, and Batal
Ascend the rugged terrain to Kunzum Pass (14,931 ft)
Arrive at Chandratal Lake, a glacial lake shaped like a crescent moon
Set up camp near the lake and enjoy a magical starlit night

Distance: ~110 KM | 7–8 hrs
Morning departure from Chandratal
Cross back over Kunzum Pass and continue to Losar, the first village of Spiti
Drive along the Spiti River to reach Kaza, the headquarters of Spiti
Check-in to hotel and relax

Distance: ~90 KM | 4–5 hrs
Full-day sightseeing by vehicle or bike
Visit Key Monastery – the largest and oldest monastery in Spiti
Drive to Kibber Village, known for snow leopards and its wildlife sanctuary
Ascend to Komic (one of the highest villages in the world)
Stop at Hikkim to send a postcard from the highest post office
Explore Langza – fossil site and giant Buddha statue
Overnight Stay: Hotel in Kaza
Distance: ~80 KM round trip | 5–6 hrs
Ride down to Tabo Monastery, one of the oldest functioning Buddhist monasteries in India
Continue to Dhankar Monastery, dramatically located on a cliff overlooking the river
Optional short hike to Dhankar Lake (if time permits)
Return to Kaza by evening
