The Spiti bike trip from Manali is the perfect short escape for adventurers who want to experience the magic of the Himalayas over a long weekend. In just 4 days, this journey takes you through the mighty Atal Tunnel, up to Kunzum Pass, and deep into the heart of Spiti Valley — all on two wheels.
If you’re dreaming of high-altitude villages, glacier-fed lakes, and remote mountain terrain, this compact route delivers the best of Spiti Valley without taking a full week off.
Start your Spiti bike trip from Manali early morning, crossing the Atal Tunnel into Lahaul. Pass Gramphu and scale Kunzum Pass (4,551 m) before reaching Kaza, the cultural capital of Spiti.
Ride to:
Hikkim – Send a postcard from the world’s highest post office
Komic – Asia’s highest village accessible by road
Langza – Known for ancient fossils and panoramic Buddha views
This day showcases the core of the Spiti Valley experience – high altitudes, ancient monasteries, and unmatched silence.
Backtrack via Kunzum Pass to reach Chandratal (Moon Lake) – a Himalayan jewel. Camp overnight beside this surreal lake at 14,100 ft. One of the most Instagram-worthy spots on your ride.
Ride back through Batal, Chhatru, and Gramphu before entering Manali again through the Atal Tunnel — completing the Spiti circuit.
