From there, the route winds through Pensi La, offering views of the stunning Drang Drung Glacier, eventually connecting with the iconic Leh–Kargil highway. After exploring the cultural and scenic beauty of Leh, the journey continues through Tanglang La, More Plains, and dramatic mountain passes like Lachung La and Nakee La, finally circling back to Manali via Sarchu and Jispa.

Early morning departure from Manali
Drive through Atal Tunnel, Sissu, Keylong, and Darcha
Reach Jispa, a serene village on the banks of the Bhaga River
Acclimatization walk along the riverside or visit local monastery

Depart early from Jispa
Cross the mighty Shinku La Pass (16,580 ft)
